Well guys, Bryce and I are doing our best to train, but it is so hard! I have been going to Curves 3 days a week, and Bryce and I are going running in the evenings when he gets off work. But yesterday I only ran about 1.5 miles, and I felt a little bit like I was going to die. . .
I hope it will get easier as I consistently train, because I feel like I am really going to slow the other girls down! Either way, I will keep on going. . .
Bryce has Saturday off work this week (I know it's a miracle!) and we decided we are going to run/walk our first 5k! We are going to take it slow if we need to, but we are going to get 'er done! But I don't know guys, I need some encouragement.

YOU GUYS CAN DO IT!! I am so proud of both of you and I know it might seem hard but it will get easier. Promise,
Good job guys!! Jam, the first time I ran a mile (well, I shouldn't say "ran" a mile because I couldn't even jog the whole thing) I thought I was going to die... but then it was a mile and a half... then two miles. It really has only been a few weeks and I'm doing 3 miles pretty comfortably. I promise it will get easier.. and it will feel dang good too!! (the accomplishment part, not the tired, heavy breathing, sore legs part :))
I agree with Amy. It truly does get easier everytime you go and do it. You have to start slow and work your way up... you still got plenty of time! Just keep going... you really are doing great!!
Jamie... good job! It's true what everyone has said. Also, don't worry about having a rough day.... I still have bad days every once in awhile. Most days I can do 5 miles without much trouble... but every once in awhile... it really kills me to do 2 miles. There are just some days that you are on, and others that you don't. So it will get easier the more you train, but don't get bummed after a tougher day! It's all worth it... and I am proud of you guys!
Bryce and Jamie,
I'm proud of you too. I know about the kill part.... I thought I was going to die after my training this morning. I power walked with Whit for 4 miles, but the running/walking together I've only gone 2... So you are right on track. Keep up the good work!!!
I'm right there with you guys. I got a cold this week, so I don't think I'm going to do any running today. It's tough to find motivation day after day to keep running! All the hard work will pay off in the end though.
